About the Event
For this experience, you will be supplied with a white primed hive box to paint as well as many low VOC latex paints to create your masterpiece. We will provide paper, stencils, paints, pencils and brushes for you to use on painting your box.
We will start off with a quick intro to how and why we paint bee boxes and the techniques you can use. After the intial instruction, we will each draft our idea on paper to share with the instructor. She will provide suggestions and guidelines to help make your creation a reality within the time allocated for the class.
We recommend you wear "painting clothes" which you don't mind getting artist tracks (and streaks, spots, blotches, etc.) on during your artistic endeavor. The latex paint is washable with water so your hands (and maybe face) will wash off with a good scrubbing.
Water, tea and coffee will be provided.
Come and join us in some fun and creativity! We will be painting the bee boxes for our Simply BeeHaven colony and everyone will have their picture with their boxes shared on our website. We have limited spots for this experience so please buy your ticket today!
